How To Whitelist An Email Address In Gmail?

 I have a team member or signup in my business opportunity,
that asked me how do they white list an email address . All
you have to do is add the email address to your contacts and your email address is white listed.  I had the same problem myself when i wanted to know, how to white list an email address in Yahoo?  Please remember when you don't white list an email address , you may not get important business announcements, sales, new product launches, etc. Instead  your email address, may go into the spam folder, which you don't want to happen.
